Corey Kerr, Head Coach
a native of Western Pennsylvania, Coach Kerr returns for his 33rd year in public education. Before arriving in Texas, he served as wrestling coach at Buckeye Local Middle School in Rayland, OHio garnering the 1992 Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Championship in his only season.
Coach Kerr began his teaching and coaching career on the northside of houston in Aldine ISd. after completing his tenth year, coach moved over to Cy Fair ISD where he would start the wrestling program at clear creek and jersey village high schools, leading each of those squads to district championships, in 2018, the opportunity to move to the gulf coast was made available and Coach accepted the helm of the clear falls wrestling program. from the start, the Knights have had individual state qualifiers every season. HISTORICALLY, the Knights have sent the most REPRESENTATIVES from district 12-6a to the regional and state tournaments. Accomplishments: 2011 - Cypress Creek HS, Boys Team Champions 2014 - Jersey village hs, boys team champions 2019 - Clear Falls HS, Girls Team Champions 2020 - Clear Falls HS, Girls team champions 2021 - Clear falls hs, girls team champions 2022 - clear falls hs, girls team champions 2022 - clear falls hs, boys team champions 2023 - clear falls hs, boys team champions Awards: 2011 - Boys coach of the year 2019 - Girls coach of the year 2022 - girls coach of the year 2023 - boys coach of the year 2023 - texas high school region 5 coach of the year Featured speaker at THSCA State conference Coach and his wife Kim reside in Bay Colony in Dickinson. Together they have five children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, Coach enjoys playing games on his phone, binge watching his favorite show, and cheering on his beloved Steelers. |
